ZION Recovery Services offers various options of payment for services, such as the following:

Sliding Fee Scale:

Iowa residents seeking substance abuse services with ZION Recovery Services are required to declare their financial status by providing proof of income for calculating cost of services accordingly, utilizing a Sliding Fee Scale. The Sliding Fee Scale takes in account the 200% Poverty Guidelines, individual’s monthly income, and family size.  An hour of individual services may start at $7.00 up to $125.00.

Medicaid:

Staff will verify at the time of services if an individual is eligible for Medicaid (Title XIX) as a pay source for treatment services.  Please bring in your Medicaid card to your first appointment.

Insurance:

ZION Recovery Services has insurance contracts with the following insurance carrier to pay for outpatient services only:  Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield Classic Blue, Alliance Select, Blue Access, Blue Choice, Blue Advantage and Hawk-i. You can bring in your insurance card and staff will assist you in preauthorizing payment for outpatient services.

ZION Recovery Services is not a medically based inpatient facility; insurance will not cover inpatient or halfway programs.

Self-Payment:

If none of the above funding sources fit you, there is a self pay option.  Contact staff for further information.
